COMMUNITY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CENTER

Home / COMMUNITY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CENTER

The theme for our sesquicentennial celebration is an appropriate reminder of God faithfulness throughout all generations. Scripture reminds us of that when our faith failed, God remained faithful to all his promises. It is remarkable to think and reflect on this church’s  illustrious 150-year history and meditate upon the various obstacles, barriers, and necessitudes, which it faced. It’s intriguing to think that this church was birth during an era of one of the greatest atrocities known to humankind called slavery. Despite these inhuman conditions, our  ancestors embodied an unwavering faith in God and persevered to establish this current house of worship, affectionately known as the Mountain of Joy. (Rev. Provey Powell. Jr., Sr. Pastor)
